This is the best sailing in the world, that why the London 2012 Olympic’s sailing events will be held in the waters of Weymouth Bay with it’s base in Portland Harbour at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy. The Sailing Academy is less than a mile to walk from Kearney Cottage.
There are small harbour fees to launch into Portland Harbour but if you’re a sailor it’s well worth it, even if it’s just to be able to say “I’ve sailed where the Olympics are!”
